It is hard to believe the last thing I posted here was about "Super 8" which Marianne and I saw in June.  Summer went faster than usual.  School started this week at Southwest Minnesota State University with meetings and more meetings and yet another meeting.
I am looking forward to a good year, however.  Students return soon; classes start; the year unfolds. 
And so it go....

Great movie for those who like sci-fi with some cheepy things jumping out at you.  Not as scary as the Alien films, but a good film.

Dear Blog Readers, I've been away in AZ and CO for 10 days, so I have let things slip a bit here.  But I will be posting a blog on Wed night or Thursday morning this week, May 25 or 26.  Was a good trip with plenty of bad weather for driving.  I am happy to be back in GREEN Minnesota after so much dry Southwest of USA.  Not Southwest of MN, which is nothing like the dry landscape of the desert.  More later.

I'm counting down to the end of a long, long semester.  Have two stacks of papers left.  The hardest part of teaching at this time of year is not letting our students know we want vacation more than they want it!

Today was the last day with my BRIT LIT II students.  It was a wonderful group.  Several to be high school teachers.  Their students will be fortunate to have them as teachers.

Yesterday made my day!  New students on campus to register for Fall '11 classes.  Had a long talk with a future LIT-Education major.  Very uplifting to hear from an eager and bright student.
